Lila has spent the last several years traveling slowly, learning traditional crafts from local communities around the world. More interested in people than destinations, she fills sketchbooks instead of social media feeds and believes that making something by hand is one of the best ways to understand a place. We invited Lila because she has a quiet ability to notice beauty that others often overlook.

Kenji works in artificial intelligence and spends much of his life thinking about the relationship between technology and human experience. He joined the expedition with a simple question: What becomes more valuable as machines become more capable? We thought his thoughtful, analytical perspective would bring a fascinating contrast to the conversations around the campfire.
